Hi, I'm Michael
I'm a photographer based in Lewis Center, just north of Columbus. Most of what I love happens early: a heron holding still at the edge of a pond, light coming through the trees before anyone else is out, a bird that lands close enough to be worth the wait.
Birds and wildlife are where the patience pays off. It's a lot of sitting quietly and a lot of frames that don't work, and then one that does — and that's the one I keep. Ohio gets overlooked as a place to photograph, and I think that's a mistake. The metro parks, the reservoirs, the back roads in October: there's more here than people expect.
The rest of my time goes to the work on this site — events, families, and portraits. Different pace, same idea. I'm looking for the moment that actually feels like the day, not the one where everybody happened to be facing the camera.

Every event I shoot goes up here as its own collection. Find your event, find your photos, and buy just the ones you want — no bundles, no session fee, no waiting on a mailed disc.
What you download is the full-resolution original: no watermark, no crop, sized to print properly. Once you check out I package your files up and email you the download link, and it stays in your account if you need it again later.
